Sadie Warren is a walking contradiction. The confidence she wears on the outside is only to cover the scars that are imbedded on her soul. Coming out of an abusive relationship where she was stripped of her security and confidence, she chooses to bury it under every man she gives her body to. After one intoxicated night that she will never remember in its entirety, everything begins to change. Being seen more for her positive attributes and less for her faults, Sadie arises from the dark and into a place she feels safe. But with that comes a chain of events that blur the lines of everything she thought she needed and everything she's beginning to want.
Will fear keep her from the one thing she believes she desires most or will fate take a turn unexpectedly and change everything?

When you get lost in the fine line of reality and fiction is when you are reading a fabulous book. Barbara Speak has given us that fine line where you can and will lose your grip on reality. When you finish reading this I guarantee that you will be left mourning the loss of your fictional friends and family.
5.0 out of 5 stars~ and falling in love the whole time, July 5, 2014
By Tara Bwater
This book... man! I was on an emotional roller coaster throughout the entire thing. I was laughing one moment, crying the next, and falling in love the whole time. It is truly an immaculate story being told that you literally fall into and become one of the characters. Barbara Speak is such an amazing author that you have a difficult time finding a boring or uninteresting part throughout the whole thing.
This story is for 18 years of age and up and not suitable for a young audience.
It seems Kate Williams has it all; money, great job, a supportive family, and an amazing group of friends. What she lacks is the confidence and ability to make a good decision regarding the men in her life. After the worse break up yet, she runs into the arms of Ryan, her long time best friend and the one that seems to always mend all of her broken hearts. But after years of being "That" guy, he is ready to confess to her what he has felt all along.
A night out with her friends brings a complete stranger into the mix. One encounter on the dance floor is all it took for him to flood her every thought. But Is he really a stranger after all or is he closer to her than she thinks?
Should Kate take the chance and chose her best friend, knowing he will cherish her forever? Or should she take a leap and go with the man that had her heart before she even knew his name?
Someone’s heart will be broken, someone will lose everything they hold dear, and someone will tell the ultimate lie and destroy everything.
Will fearing regret keep Kate away from what she really wants most?

Fearing Regret was just as remarkable as I thought it would be. I was so excited for this second book to this series and Barbara didn’t let me down. My emotions were all over the place while reading this book. You will find yourself sad, happy, and rooting for Kate to find that one guy who makes her feel EVERYTHING.

5 Breathtaking Stars!
*Reviewed for Crazy Daisy Book Whore*
I jumped on the Barbara Speak roller coaster for another wild ride! No one can write a love triangle like Barbara! This was another amazing book. Unbelievable and so unexpected, and now becoming what I expect from Barbara's books.
I absolutely love contemporary romance and new adult novels. After years of falling into books an idea came to mind. Writing flowed so naturally for me that I couldn't get the words down fast enough. I love developing characters that people can relate to.
The Flawlessly Broken series starts with Finding Solaceand continues with Fearing Regret which was just released July 2014. Fighting Fate will be in your hands December 2014.
